Frosty Chicago

12/10/16 - 12/12/16

Saturday morning, I went from PDX to PHX. My final destination was ORD. My flight at PHX got cancelled... 😲😲😲

My Chicago families were waiting for me.
I started panicking because it was my grandma's birthday and I didn't want to miss the birthday party.

The American Airlines customer service lady didn't know what she was doing... took forever to rebook my flight to the next available one. After 30 minutes and asking two of her co-workers she finally had me on standby for the next flight. Standby doesn't guarantee anything... I started asking God to help me get on the flight.

They started calling the people on standby. 33 people were all waiting desperately. I was listed as the 8th person. THANK GOD. They called my name and I was the last one.
Bye Pheonix.

After all the trouble, I finally arrived at Chicago! Beautiful airport.

I was worried the airlines would have lost my bags. Again thank God, they arrived in one piece.

It was good to see my relatives. They are always very welcoming. I love you grandpa, grandma, and everyone ❤.

On Sunday, I made this cute little Olaf.
I enjoy playing with snow and making snowman. I'm still a kid in the inside... Also it brings back memories.

Among all the gifts I received from my families, I am posting this. The book is called "If you have a dream, you have a future."

I am not a reader but I love the title. So I'm actually excited to read it.

On Monday, I left my uncle's house and came to the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago. I am here for another training that starts on Tuesday.

Here's my room with the beautiful view.

Yes, I have two beds. I initially booked for a king bed room but I wanted a better view. So I got a complimentary upgrade to this room with the park view 👍. I'll probably jump between the two beds. Haha.

My co-worker and I went to the Purple Pig and ordered what was most recommended on Yelp.
1. Bone marrow
2. Octopus
3. Pork shoulder

They were all good but my favorite was the pork shoulder.

It was FREEEZING at Chicago.

We had to stop by at the Christkindlmarket, the German festival. I loved the holiday atmosphere.

I got spiced wine in a souvenir mug 😍.

Even though it's extremely cold, I love Chicago. Hmm.. I think I easily fall in love with large cities.

I'm starting my training tomorrow. I don't know what to expect for the training, but I am excited to meet new people and explore the city a little more.
