Goals

11.5.16 ~ 11.13.16

Now that I am back from training, I started studying for the CPA exam. I don't plan on sharing my results until I pass all four sections which might take a year or longer. So, PLEASE don't ask how I did...

I am more productive at my office so I've been staying 2 hours before and after work to study. I'm an early riser; it works out for me.

This is what I get to see in the morning.

Everyday looks different and I'm always astonished by it.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

I did a goal-setting with my performance management leader (PML). Here are my work-related short term and long term goals. I will also tell you my personal goals.

S/T Goals
- Pass CPA exams.
- Get involved in recruiting. Be a support for prospective employees.
-Become a mentor for an intern.
- Participate in volunteer activities every month.
- Utilization of 100% which means that I will be working 40 chargeable hours/week on average over a year. (The average for a first year is lower but I want to do above and beyond πŸ˜….)

L/T Goals
- Support diversity and inclusion.
- Do a rotation at an office with Korea Practice.

Personal Goals
- Help children and women in poverty by building safe shelters, providing education and helping with employment.
- Get involved with anti-human trafficking org.
- Do all the above to bring people to Christ and glorify God.

If anyone knows of charitable organizations that I might be interested, please let me know.

Overall this week was great! The firm has been treating me well. One night, I was privileged to go out to the recruiting dinner. We ate at Urban Farmer and took full advantage of it. I ordered $65 steakπŸ™Š. By far the most expensive restaurant I've been to. Looking forward to next year's recruiting event πŸ˜†.

This is the best side of my life. I am very thankful but that doesn't tell the whole story. Some days I skip lunch or dinner. I still work on adjusting to the new environment and making friends. I feel like I don't fit in anywhere. Even my Korean community, I feel distanced. I have relationship issues that I can't easily share with others. I deal with all these personal problems just like everyone else does.
My point is... I'm no different.
BUT I am grateful and staying positive!

I am ending it here.
Have a good week everyoneπŸ’•.
