Giving is Caring

11.13.16 ~ 11.20.16

Weeks are going by REALLY fast! It's close to Thanksgiving and Christmas 😄.

My work has been treating me well. As of now, I actually enjoy work because they are doable but challenging enough. I learn something new every day. I am less intimidated when I'm given a project. Overall work is great and I am NOT paid to say this. Haha.

Last week, I shopped at Nike Company Store. 2-hour was not enough...

I bought one item for myself and the rest is (Christmas) gifts 🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁.

I met a friend and we went to Grassa. Their pasta was delicious! Forgot to take pictures 😥......
I'm definitely going back.

This sandwhich is from Lardo which is right next to Grassa. It had Kimchi in it and was pretty tasty 👍.

With the church group, we went bowling. YAY! I was doing so well during the third round and we ran out of time so I couldn't finish it 😭. Next time...

Then, we ate at Pho Van? I think. I got #51. It was very good and flavorful!

My firm is doing a Community Giving Campaign which motivated me to consider making contributions. I thought about it for couple days and decided to donate to EcoCafe Haiti. It's mission is to enable economic self-sufficiency by cultivating and exporting coffee, to cultivate land for food and to restore the environment. Here is the link to its website: http://ecocafehaiti.com.
The program is partnered with a Christian organization that has other programs including mission trips.

My professor who taught a global management course runs EcoCafe Haiti. It was an honor to be in his class and get to know him. His work inspires me so much.

Another awesome news is that I will be going to Chicago for a training in December!!!!
✈✈✈
This training is for us to learn about a software our clients use and to get certified for it which means that passing the exam is required. Whatsoever, I am excited to visit Chicago to see my family 😚. Plus, I will be staying at a nice hotel right by the Millennium Park.

This sums up my week.
For those of you who are studying, I feel your pain. Keep it up and we shall pass!
