Second week of training in San Diego
10.30.16 ~ 11.4.16
Sunday was our free day!
I went to the Rock Church (http://www.sdrock.com/) with friends from Alabama and Iowa offices. I am grateful to have met them and gone to church with them. The worship was such a blessing! This was one of the best moments in my life. I was in tears.😂 I don't know how I've come this far in life. Sometimes it's easy to forget how blessed I am.. believing that I've earned it. But without God, I wouldn't be where I am now - I have a great job that sends us to trainings at beautiful locations and pays for pretty much everything.
After service, with friends from Alabama and San Francisco offices, we went to San Diego Zoo.
Unfortunately, it started raining. Rain in San Diego is unusual but it happened to rain on our only free day. That's okay, I'm used to it...
My aunt who lives in town took me out for dinner.😄 We came to Coasterra.
WOW. What a view!
I ordered seafood cazuela. I had my first cazuela in Santiago, Chile and fell in love with it. With my high expectations, I tried this and it was good with lots of seafood.
So romantic. 😍
Cool mural.
On Wednesday, we came out to Coronado Island to catch the sunset. Just by writing this and seeing the pictures, I miss San Diego. 😢
We went to a place called Brigantine and I ordered seared ahi tuna. It was DELICIOUS!!! So flavorful.
Wine Wednesday!
Then we went to the Extraordinary Desserts. It was a fancy place, but the dessert was too sweet for my taste.
Thursday - the day of our last full day of training. Surprisingly, the second week went by fast. We continued to learn how to use the system. If the first week was about preparing the workpapers, the second week was on reviewing them as a reviewer. Even though the days were long, I enjoyed working with my group (Team Tax Tacos!)
After the training, we headed to the Belmont Park with some Korean friends from all over. We rode on a roller coaster and did laser tag.
Then we went to 356 BBQ for Korean food. Yumm~
Friday was our final day. We had a short presentation and the training lasted until 10am.
With friends from Houston and Alabama, we went to Copa Vida for brunch. I got matcha latte and French toast. They were really good! 👍
Final walk by the Seaport Village.
After saying bye to them, I was able to meet with a friend who I've met in college. She took me to this cute little cupcake place. It was nice catching up with her.
I want it again.
Time to leave.😢😢😢
Good bye Marriott.
Bye San Diego. 😭
I already miss San Diego so much and everyone I've met. Even though we were there for training, I enjoyed it and made lots of memories. It was a pleasure meeting people from all different places. Thank you everyone and I hope to see you again at our next training.😁
