And a Happy New Year~~~🎡

☆ HAPPY NEW YEAR~ ☆ 12-30-16 ~ 1-9-2017 It snowed in Portland on Saturday and Sunday. The roads and sidewalks were icy. Most people stay home during the snow days but I like to be out and be adventurous. ⛄❄☃❄⛄❄ This is when it started snowing on Saturday.   Then... this is what it looked like on Sunday. I almost fell walking on the icy sidewalk.  So I walked in the middle of the road where it was slushy (less slippery). My church service got cancelled so I decided to walk to a church nearby. I was surprised to see that a church was open. I guess it makes sense because it was a [very] traditional church. Still glad there was a service to attend. Could probably ice skate here. * * * Since it's a new year, I made a list of prayer requests. Surprisingly (and thankfully), God answers my prayers I write down each year. πŸ™ 2017 Prayer Requests 1. Pass all my CPA exams by October 2017 μ‹œν—˜ νŒ¨μŠ€ν•˜κΈ° 2. 12-28-16 ~ 12-29-16 One night two days trip to Oregon coast ☝일박✌이일~ Day 1 The trip started in Portland at 8am. We headed to the Cannon beach. Icy roads We had to pull aside to put chains on our tires. Somewhere near Cannon beach. Cannon Beach The weather was perfect!😎 Then we were on our way to our campsite in Lincoln City.  We stopped by at Tillamook Cheese Factory for quick lunch, ice cream and of course samples of cheese πŸ§€. As we were heading to the campsite, we caught this amazing sunset. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 We arrived at the Devils Lake State Park around 5pm. We had a yurt reserved. After checking in, we went to the outlet mall nearby.  (Sorry, no pictures.) Day 2 The next morning/afternoon, we visited the Drift Creek Falls.  The roads were dangerous. We finally arrived. The hike was about 1.5 miles. Here we are at the suspension bridge! It was a narrow and slightly shaky bridge. 😨 It is so beautiful. If you're looking for a shor...

What do I know about LOVE...

12-19-16 ~12-24-16 After coming back from Chicago, I took a week off of work. Our managers encouraged us to take PTO before the busy season.  I went home for the week. I'm glad I live close to home so I can visit whenever. My mom prepared delicious home-cooked meals for me. This is LOVE πŸ’•. Spicy stir-fried squid Korean fried chicken We painted our nails in front of the fireplace and watched Zootopia. My puppy, Chico 🐢 Detoxing All I wanted for Christmas was to spend time with my family. I am grateful to have a place where I can call a home and a family who's supportive and caring.  For the past several years, I learned the importance of family. We went through so much suffering that we can't even explain. We grieved, cried, consoled, and prayed together. I had to make myself emotionally numb. This was the only way to get through each day.  It affected my relationship with others as well. I had to lie many times. Because I distrusted everyone, I could...

Was it a training or a vacation?

12-13-16 ~ 12-18-16 I had a blast in Chi-town! It was dangerously cold, but nothing stopped me from getting around. As a reminder, the purpose of the trip was for us to learn about the tax software our clients might be using. So the firm sent my coworker and me to Chicago.  The Chicago office is located in Aon Center. FYI, it's the fourth tallest building in Chicago.  Here's why I took so many pictures. The view from the office is astonishing 😍.  Millennium Park view John Hancock view Willis Tower view My hotel (Radisson Blu Aqua) view We didn't have to go to 360 Chicago or Sky deck. This IS the observatory deck. Our training ran from 8:30am to 4pm. We spent rest of the time to explore the windy city. The Bean during the day The Bean at night Zoolight at Lincoln Zoo A Christmas tree at Millennium Park A random street We got ahead of the schedule and finished the course on Thursday. So we had a free day on Friday! My coworker and I visited the ...
